Hosted by the Passiac County Sheriff's Office Range: Passaic County Sherrif’s Office Range 3 Valley Rd. Paterson, NJ The 360° CQD (Close Quarter Defense) system is a simple additive for any officer to learn that has been proven to address these issues and others. 360° CQD is the evolution of a system that has been around for over two decades. When used properly, it can increase distance and, therefore, time to perceive, react, and respond. The system excels for use when seated and fixed inside a vehicle and in other close-quarter environments like at a doorway, in a crowd, or in trailers and small rooms. This course is for all officers, including patrol, surveillance, detectives, and special teams like SWAT. The instructor for the course is the founder of 360° CQD, Jeff Johnsgaard. Outcomes:  Students will understand and demonstrate how to eliminate dual sight picture when using a pistol through the use of the 360° CQD.  Students will be able to demonstrate the context for the Close Quarter and Combat positions to react faster to sudden threats. They will also demonstrate this with live fire on the range.  Students will demonstrate the safest and most efficient way to deliver 360 degrees of aimed fire if required, like in an ambush response situation.  Students will demonstrate the 360° CQD method for weapon retention.  Students will demonstrate how to move at speed while delivering a high rate of fire on multiple targets with the Combat Position.  Students will understand how to increase their rate of fire for pistols and carbines without sacrificing recoil control, through the more efficient use of muscular tension.  Students will understand how to evaluate their own movement and skillset to self-detect and diagnose their skillset. Duration: 3-Days (24-Hours) Tuition: $795.00 Valid for: Certifications are valid for 3-years. Ammunition: 1400 pistol. 400 rifle. Equipment: Pistol and Rifle, duty belt (or tactical vest) with all issued gear, body armor, flashlight and handcuffs with key.
