Det/Sgt Jeff Johnsgaard retired with over 20 years of service and now runs his own company instructing a variety of important topics such as officer safety, wellness, and use of force.
Jeff is a regular presenter at conferences in the USA and internationally and does a variety of physical and classroom trainings with agencies and their academies.
Jeff regularly consults with city risk managers and heads of departments on decreasing their liability and occasionally does work as an expert witness.
Jeff has a passion for self improvement and growth. He brings this passion, his international experience and depth of education in the current research to develop courses for Sworn Officers, Civilians and other Working Professionals.
Jeff has worked as a contract instructor for other industry leaders like, Force Science®, the Reality Based Training Association, Raptor Protection and the Executive Protection Institute. Jeff teaches user level and instructor level courses for these companies and is proud to have learned from and to represent them in the great work they do.
Jeff has carved out a niche in the training space as an instructor that brings together the 'science and art' of training to achieve great outcomes with students. Jeff calls his method for training and instruction, Training On Purpose, By Design.
Jeff uses his deep and thorough understanding of the evidence grounded principles and concepts for training to inform how he designs and delivers all training.

With his decades of international experience and certifications including Force Science® – Advanced Specialist and IADLEST Nationally Certified Instructor Jeff consults with Departments and Academies on decreasing risk, enhancing their training and on select Officer Use of Force cases.
